It is with great enthusiasm that The Falcon Dance Ensemble is proud to announce its premier 2023 Dance Concert, Origins, on Thursday, March 2 at 5:30 pm at Coast Hills Church. A suggested donation of $10 can be given at the door.
The Falcon Dance Ensemble is a performance group for students in Grades 6-8 interested in dance, choreography, production, performance and outreach. This premier dance concert, Origins, will feature mentored student choreography, professional-level works, and performances by select guest dance students and community members. Student works include “Aquamarine,” by Isabelle Englebrecht, inspired by ocean creatures and “We on Top” by Zara Grossi and Stella Dickhout, illustrating the feeling of empowerment. Works by Mrs. Mulchay include “I Say My Name,” a piece created for Grade 8 dance students, and “Hello, Goodbye, You’re Muted,” a work in-progress originally contracted by the City of LA to encourage process-based dance works based on youth experiences during the pandemic.
Come join us for an exciting presentation of dance and personal expression. Hard work, dedication, and the love of dance are captured by each and every one of our students during what will become an annual performance at St. Mary’s School.
