Lower School Spanish: World Language Lens

In How the World Works about Currency, students in Grade 2 experienced their Unit of Inquiry through a World Language Lens, in Spanish. Students earned pesos throughout their unit based on the IB approaches to learning through Communication.Throughout the unit, Falcons learned about different foods served at restaurants and practiced serving and ordering. At the end of the unit, students used their pesos to open their own restaurant, making decisions about what to buy for their restaurant. Once their restaurants were created, they ran their restaurant in Spanish independently. For the unit finale, parents were invited to come and be served at their child’s restaurant. ¡Qué rico!
