A number of St. Mary’s programs offer great opportunities to donate to such as the Performing Arts Program and Library. Others include the Leadership Program, Athletic Department or IB Programmes.
Methods of Giving
Outright Gifts
Gifts of cash, securities or other property have an immediate impact on St. Mary’s because they can be used to support a variety of current needs.
Gift Pledges
A pledge is a formal statement of intention to make a gift to St. Mary’s. Many donors choose to complete their gift pledge by making regular payments over a period of time.
Matching Gifts
Many corporations have demonstrated their support to St. Mary’s by matching, or multiplying, their employees' gifts. Before you make a gift, consult your company's personnel office for further information about matching programs.
Gifts In kind
You may wish to give St. Mary’s a personal possession of special interest. Frequent Flyer Miles are a great way to contribute and Service Hours are offered in return. To determine St. Mary's interest in the object you would like to give, please contact the Development Office.
Securities and Assets
In giving securities to St. Mary’s that have increased in value since you’ve bought them, not only can you take the current market price as a tax deduction, you owe no income tax or capital gains tax on the increase.
Planned Giving
There are as many different ways to support St. Mary's as there are needs. We have many different paths and the potential tax savings that might result if we are able to structure a plan that is beneficial to you now and to your heirs in the future.
For in-depth information on any aspect of giving, please contact the Development Office at (949) 448-9027 ext. 331.
